August - December
The first day of school was August 14. The fall kicked off fast with Friday night lights and Homecoming on September 30. These first two months were packed with activities as everyone eased their way into the new school year. Then followed a snowy Halloween but a snowless winter break. The end of first semester was a cold one, but that did not stop WEGO from finishing out the 2023 year strong.
GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL CONCLUDES A STRONG SEASON

After putting up a tough fight, girls' volleyball ended up losing against Geneva. However, the team would rebound, and ultimately win the UEC championship.
WEGO'S HISTORIC WIN AGAINST BARTLETT

The home opener for football against Bartlett was a victory, and the Wildcats defeated the Hawks for the first time in 25 years.

The boys' soccer team braved the elements all season before finally winning Regionals. The team narrowly lost out at Sectionals.

HOMECOMING 2023

The entire school was invited onto the football field to celebrate Homecoming with a pep assembly, followed by Food Fest and a parade before WCCHS' football team defeated the Sabres and popped out to the annual Homecoming dance.
